You’ve committed to another activity you don’t even want to do.

But you can’t say no because you fear others won’t like you.

So, you sacrifice your self-care, and you hate yourself for it.

Being everything for everyone and the overwhelming anxiety about what others say always lingers.

The weight of pleasing others is emotionally and physically exhausting.

Always the strong one, the caretaker, the one who keeps everything together.

But lately, it’s becoming unbearable.

You’re constantly running on fumes between parenting, work stress, relationship strain, and emotional health.

You’ve noticed that even the smallest things – tantrums, a forgotten appointment, a disagreement – can leave you spiraling with guilt, irritation, or anger.

But you still push through, barely permitting yourself to rest.

“How am I going to get through today?”

Nightmares kept you up all night, and past trauma keeps resurfacing.

There’s no escape and no one to talk to who truly understands.

You carry the painful memories, a weight you can’t see, but it’s always there.

You try to push through, but you can only take so much.

You overthink everything: your relationships, parenting style, and choices.

Hyper-independent, high-achieving, and ambitious, but avoid vulnerability like a plague.

You’ve been taught that expressing your needs leads to loss, rejection, or being a burden.

But lately, there’s an undercurrent of stress, a sense of unease you can’t quite shake.

It’s showing up as tension in your body, racing thoughts, or feeling overwhelmed by responsibilities that didn’t used to feel so heavy.

Hi, I’m Kimatra.

I’m passionate about helping others connect to their greatness and staying connected to mine.

My own journey of rediscovering my greatness led me to therapy.

I remember the first time I sat across from a therapist. One moment of being truly seen gave me the permission I didn’t know I needed.

And you’re here because you know life can feel better than it does right now.

And guess what? You are right, and that is your greatness beckoning you forward.

In a world that pushes perfectionism and teaches us, especially women, to shrink, to self-abandon, to carry it all and never complain… It’s revolutionary to say no, yes to yourself, and yes to your greatness.

Your greatness resides in being your most authentic self, and I know that it can feel scary.

But you don’t have to do it alone. I am here to help.

Kimatra really helped me to realign my goals as a professional and consider next steps to achieve those goals. It was an amazing experience and so worth it.

Kimatra is an Amazing coach that inspires you to reach in deep into yourself so that you may be transformed to the greatest you can be!! Put in a little work, extra self-love. and see what happens!

After years of therapy with many other counselors, Kimatra guided me to truly heal things that I have been holding onto. Her approach was gentle yet strong in showing me what I held within already. My family and I will be endless grateful to her guidance in helping to strengthen our marriage, our individual growth, and the future of our children.

I would like to publicly thank Kimatra for the amazing–transformative–work that Connecting to Greatness – Coaching & Counseling is doing in my life! Yesterday, I completed my “overcoming self-limiting beliefs” homework assigned to me at Tuesday’s session and I am feeling so much more in touch with my feelings! Wow! How cathartic and eye-opening this very specific homework assignment was! Thank you for being a beacon of light and guide in my metamorphosis, Kimatra! May God continue to abundantly bless you! Big hug!

When I first started working with Kimatra, I wasn’t sure what I hoped to accomplish, what I needed. But Kimatra did. She asked me questions that made me think, for the first time, about myself and to look for the answers within myself. I learned that I needed accountability and to trust my internal being and to be gentle with myself and my journey. Kimatra has a gentle, but firm way of guiding you to where you need to be to begin healing, learning and growing. I have come a long way from where I was, and still, have a ways to go. But, with Kimatra’s guidance and knowledge, I know it will be a great, fulfilling journey.
