Individual Therapy for Relationship Issues
 Learn. Grow. Heal.

Experience a different way to work on relationships.

You don’t have to be in couples therapy to get support for your relationship.

Relationship Therapy for One is for individuals who want healthier relationships – whether you’re dating, partnered, separating, co-parenting, or rebuilding after a rupture.

We focus on patterns, boundaries, communication, and the emotional load you’ve been carrying so you can make decisions that feel grounded and aligned. Relationship therapy for adults is available online via telehealth in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.

You might be in the right place if…

You keep over-giving, over-functioning, or people-pleasing, and you feel resentful or depleted.

The same conflict cycling, causing you to feel stuck and unable to interrupt it.

Questions keep arising. “Should I stay, leave, or renegotiate the relationship?” After a result of betrayal, a breakup, or a significant shift in trust, you are still healing.

You struggle to communicate needs without guilt, fear, or shutting down. You might also want to establish stronger boundaries with a partner, family member, co-parent, or dating partner.

Our work focuses on your needs.

In sessions, we’ll slow down and get clear on what’s happening beneath the surface – your triggers, attachment needs, beliefs, and the roles you’ve learned to play. Depending on your needs, our work focuses on several common areas. We will identify patterns in your relationship.

These patterns may require establishing clear, compassionate, and sustainable boundaries. Rather than talking across each other, you can learn communication skills that reduce escalation and increase clarity.

If you find yourself in the same wrong relationship, we can focus on helping you navigate dating with more discernment and self-trust.

Other challenges that relationship therapy helps address include rebuilding trust (or deciding what trust would require), healing from emotional invalidation, criticism, or chronic disappointment, and co-parenting stress, separation, and relationship transitions.

We work collaboratively.

You’re the expert on your life. My role is to help you notice patterns, make meaning of what you’re experiencing, and build skills that support the kind of relationship you want.

The work is at your pace, your process.

There’s no one “right” way to do relationship-focused therapy.

Sometimes, the work is learning to speak up or to stop over-explaining.

It can be about grieving what you hoped the relationship would be or building the confidence to choose something different.

We’ll move at a pace that feels safe and steady, and we’ll keep coming back to what you need.

Take the next step.

If you’re ready to feel clearer, steadier, and more confident in how you show up in relationships – take the next step and schedule a consultation. Relationship therapy can make a difference.
