Frequently Asked Questions

Where is your office located?

We’re a fully virtual practice, offering therapy across Massachusetts and New Hampshire.

We meet you where you are – literally and emotionally – because healing should be accessible wherever life takes you.

What are your hours?

We offer sessions Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM.

This schedule allows us to show up fully for our clients while also staying connected to the other parts of our lives that matter deeply.

How long are sessions?

Sessions are typically 55 minutes.

We also offer flexible 45-minute sessions, especially if you’re working or need a little space to re-center yourself afterward.

Do you take insurance?

Yes, we’re committed to making therapy accessible.

We currently accept a range of insurance plans, including Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Optum, UnitedHealthcare, and more.

What is the out-of-pocket cost for sessions?

If you’re not using insurance, sessions are $175 each.

To find out your copay with insurance, call the customer service number on the back of your insurance card.

How do I set up an initial appointment?

Just reach out!

We offer a free 30-minute phone consultation to help you determine if were the right fit.

After that, your provider will help you schedule your first session.

Is the phone consultation free?

Absolutely. The consultation is completely free and is designed to make sure we’re a good match for your needs and goals.

What is your cancellation policy?

Therapy time is reserved just for you. We don’t double-book like medical offices – your session is your time alone.

Because of this, we ask for at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations. Missed sessions or late cancellations will incur a $90 fee.

How often are sessions?

We typically recommend weekly sessions to start. Consistency is important early in the therapeutic journey.

Every three months, we’ll check in to reassess your progress and adjust to biweekly or monthly sessions as appropriate.

What is your professional training and experience?

I earned my Bachelor of Arts in social work and political science from Lehman College and my Master of Social Work (MSW) from the Hunter College Silberman School of Social Work in New York City.

My clinical experience includes work in mental health and substance use with organizations like Community Health Link, Spectrum, and Heywood Hospital.

What age ranges do you work with?

We work with adults 18 and over, often helping them reconnect with their inner child while navigating adulthood.

Do you work with women? Men? Couples?

We specialize in supporting women but welcome men as well.

We do not offer couples therapy, but we may invite a significant other into an individual session when it supports the client’s goals.

What can I expect in the first session?

The first session is an assessment. We’ll explore your childhood, life experiences, and current goals.

We’ll clarify what you’re hoping to achieve, complete some mental health scales, and create a roadmap for our work together.

What do you actually do in sessions?

In every session, I’m listening, assessing, reflecting, validating, clarifying, teaching, encouraging, and more. It’s a dynamic process, and no two sessions are the same.

Do clients receive assignments between sessions?

Yes! At the end of each session, we’ll reflect on what you learned and decide what you’d like to work on between sessions.

Sometimes, you’ll lead the way; other times, I’ll offer suggestions. We always check in at the next session to track your progress.

What modalities do you use?

I use a blend of approaches, including:

  • Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) – helping you reframe unhelpful thoughts
  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) – building emotional regulation skills
  • Trauma-Informed Care – understanding the impact of your past
  • Mindfulness – encouraging grounding and self-awareness
  • Attachment-Based Therapy – exploring your relational dynamics
How do I get the most out of therapy?

Great question! Set an intention for this journey…

Get a journal, take notes during sessions, show up fully, and be willing to do the work in between.

The more you invest in the process, the more meaningful and lasting your growth will be.

Do you think there’s hope for me?

Absolutely. I would not be doing this work if I didn’t believe in our capacity for healing, change, and greatness.

Are you married?

Yes! My partner and I have been together for 17 years and married for 12.

Do you have children?

Yes – I have a 29-year-old stepdaughter and a two-year-old son.
